Well, Pine Valley is a.. really easy to recreate level. I admit though the pipes in the Geo Plant are a bitch but you must bend them to your will (bad pun). Anyway, I got the pipes done and at least version one of the cooling tower. I did all the modeling in GMax because I'm too lazy to drag over the older comp and hook it up to the monitor and keyboard just to model stuff.

All that I need for the models currently in place is for them to get physics though the straight pipes can have just simple bool Tangible = true strings added since that would be sufficient. I will add screen shots of my progress later after the YouTube video goes up (The REC video compressed to a 116 MB avi file for 79 seconds, that's something...)

BTW, the level uses the terrain from the abandoned Project Pine Valley level that Draco and RexHunter99 were working on before they totally abandoned the Trespasser Engine. I had been working on PPV back at the beginning of '07 and did a couple of models for it (The View Building, Turbine Shed, and KM Marker), a couple of which will need to be redone as I'm not happy with the quality that they were done at.

Here's my progress thus far, in a video and two screen shots (in game I might add Razz So you can see that I'm actually making this)

It would appear that the area inside the plant on the Cooling Tower side was reduced when they made the plant be rectanglar rather than have that angled wall but I did my best to fit that thing in there with the road positions indicated in the PV Terrain texture image used by the minilev's Terrain Placement cube. The terrain comes from Project Pine Valley, the abandoned project that I made the base terrain and a few models for (The View Building, the Turbine Shed, and the KM Marker).

This level will only contain CONFIRMABLE locations from Pine Valley. This means there will be no "tar pit" since not only does the PV Terrain texture map not show huge black spots, but the terrain texture in those images matches to the T those from prerendered scenes that were designed to show what the engine MIGHT be able to do. There's no indication that it is from Pine Valley except for the rex, port-a-potty and those rusted tanks. Of course that's as flimsy as the rex and pylon being in another prerendered image.

However I think it's pretty well confirmed that the Plantation House is in PV as the terrain texture map line up with the structures at the right scale, something discovered by PPV when they placed it in their version of the level.

Other confirmed locations (not counting the obvious Geo Plant) include:
View Building (Do not question this, I know for a fact Wink )
Mayan Ruins in the hidden valley (These are even shown in a preview image that came with the Next Gen magazine (the image appears in the Concept Art page but cropped out so you can't see that Anne is inside of a Mayan structure looking out at the two raptors drinking from a trench).
two ravines, one of which requires you to "build a bridge" as the team said in a preview.
