My secret project being made parallel to Pine Valley Very Happy It's an attempt at making as much of the Titanic as possible in the Trespasser Engine. Kind of an experiment. There's a lot more work to do but after working on it for a while I believe it's up to a level where I can let you guys see it!

It uses some preexisting TresTextures as temp textures, ones which I will overwrite when I change the texture and import something with the new texture on it. The first one to go will be that ugly orange texture on the funnels  The bridge shot shows the older temporary texture for the white areas.

I uploaded a video to YouTube, sort of a sail by (even though the ship is stationary, the movement of the ocean makes it seem like it's moving. Now if only I could get the propellers to rotate continuously rather than one time...).

I don't know, depends on how much texture space is used. I'm conserving that space by modeling as much as possible. There are some things that if I modeled would cause instant crash in Tres so I will have to use textures for them (Honor and Glory Crowning Time aka the clock from the Grand Staircase for example. As well as any artwork on the walls, wallpaper, etc.). I have been working on it for the past few weeks now. I decided to hold off on announcing it until I got more than just a floating set of deck houses and funnels done. I did some more work on the forward deck house today.

Overview of the forward deck house looking aft.

Overview of the forward deck house looking forward.

The forward deck house from Anne's perspective.

The area that will contain the Grand Staircase complete with a temp-textured dome and the hole in the deck for the staircase to go down into. The floor around this area will be given a different texture later (the floor around the Grand Staircase isn't a wooden deck ya know Razz).

Boat deck level looking through the windows into the First Class Entrance and at the Number 2 Funnel.

The unfinished interior of the Gymnasium.

I don't know if you can tell but I upped the scale of the ship slightly because I got a proper reference for how big the ship is compared to the people on board. I still can't tell how the Captain in the movie can have the forward railing of the bridge come up only to his stomach when it comes up to eye level. I'll have to look for references of the other side of it, possibly there's a platform just behind it that I can't see in my current batch of references.

As it has been the better part of a day (may not be 24 hours yet but close enough) I have made another post Razz

Here's my Titanic progress:

Here's an overview of the ship with some facts thrown in (some well known and some that most people don't know) and points out the major locations on the ship. I raised the level of the superstructure due to the fact that B deck was only going to be 3 feet tall if I left it where it was (and we can't have that can we? Razz).

View of the aft end of the Boat Deck and A deck. I need to detach the top faces as elements or export-import (into GMax)-export-import (into Tres) to remove all of this "TresShading" that happens when meshes aren't separated into elements.

A shot of the side of the ship to give a decent idea of the height/profile change caused by extending the decks past the Aft Expansion Joint and raising the superstructure one Anne-height distance. I knew there was something off about it but couldn't place what (aside from the obvious lack of curving up at the ends which I don't want to bother with for technical reasons)...

The side profile of the ship.

A shot of the updated bridge of the ship. I added in platforms similar to Obiwahn's and fixed the window on the side of the navigation bridge to match images of the Titanic and Olympic (Obiwahn's bridge is incorrect here and must have been where I thought I saw the previous size of the side window).
